This Dive Barge is more than Just a Barge.  It is a Floating Warehouse, Restaurant, Hotel, Home, Machine Shop, Welding Fabrication Shop, and Dive Business all in one Barge. The ocean style double-walled steel hull is 26o-feet at the waterline with 48-foot beam.  The bow is model ship style raised 19 feet (light) above the waterline and the stern is raked with 2 skeggs for stable towing.The upper deck has 6-large watertight cargo hatches with double door cargo/equipment access on the port and starboard sides for easy accommodations in loading equipment, cargo, and personnel.  The main deck has walkways and railings with a number of watertight doors for access to all areas of the barge.  All mechanical systems have been updated over the years and all systems were drained and closed up when the barge was made inactive.  Most equipment has less than 600 hours and some as little as 15 hours.Mechanical Systems:2-235 kW Marathon AC Generators powered by 12V71 Detroit Diesels with related equipment - battery bank with chargers, day tanks, electrical distribution panels and shore power controls.  1-unit is under 16 hours and the other is under 500 hours. Divers Recompression Tank, 2-chamber, double door, approx. 6 feet by 15 feet, built by The Patterson Kelly Co., Inc., 1945 with air lock chamber allowing divers to enter and exit while in use, and medical/food air lock on other end of chamber.  Internal working pressure 200 psi (some gauges and glass porthole windows missing). 2-30 hp Ingersoll-Rand T-30, high-pressure dive air compressors, model 15T4X15, S/N 30T631081 and 375. 4-25 hp Hoffman Industries medium-pressure dive air compressors with Colt Industry Quincy Compressors, model W5120, size 6+3 25x4, 230/460-volts, 3-ph, with heat exchanger cooling systems, hours 527, 544 603, and 619. 1-30 hp, 125 psi, Gardner-Denver screw air compressor, model EBEQGD, S/N M85065, 2382 RPM, 460-volt, 3-ph, 24-volt control voltage, mfg date 4/93, 273 hours. All air compressors included tanks, flasks, values, gauges, and or related piping. Machine shop has a 16" Leblond Lathe with faceplates, center rest, 3 and 4-jaw chucks, Cincinnati Bickford Drill Press, Kearney Trecker Milwaukee Horizontal Mill with tooling, and MJ Byrans, model 173, 1-hp Bench Grinder. Welding room with Lincoln & Miller welders, workbench, and overhead exhaust. 2-Trowler Equipment Co.  New England 1-3/8" windless capstan/anchor winches, model X2275, 15-hp, 440 volt, 3-ph with 1500# anchor on bow and 2000# anchor on stern. Galley equipment includes steam kettles, food mixers, convection oven, ice machine, coffee urn, steam table, refrigerator, deep fryers, walk-in freezers/refrigerators, and dishwasher. Upgraded fire system monitor station with fire pull stations, smoke and fire detectors, and alarm locations throughout the barge (fire extinguisher bottles, fire hoses, fire and smoke detectors have been removed). Central heating system throughout the barge and cargo holds. Many air conditioners are located throughout the barge.*Upper Deck- Officers Quarters (Staterooms & Offices)   Approximately 35’ by 33’ 6" by 10’ high.Accessible by way of interior stairs from the main deck and 2-26" x 66" single lever exterior watertight doors (bow door-10 dog, stern door-8 dog) with exterior stairway access to the roof (about 35-feet above the waterline).Roof deck has railings in place for the crew's safety.3-Officer Staterooms, 2-15’ x 15’, 1-15’ x 13’ 6" each with 5’ x 7’ 6" head with shower.2-Offices, 1-12’ x 10’, 1-7’ 6" x 5'.Each Stateroom and large office has 2-12" 4-dog portholes and 1 though the bulkhead AC opening (AC units have been removed).The main passage way runs from bow to stern and is 5’ wide and includes 1-60,000 BTU Marlo Coil air conditioner, 1-Halsey Taylor water cooler, electrical panels, ventilation fans, and 2 fire extinguisher stations (fire extinguishers have been removed).In addition there is a shipboard PA station in the large stateroom with Tabot LS-387C/51C loudspeakers throughout the barge.*Cargo Deck Bow forward of Officer’s Quarters there are emergency escape hatch, Buffalo Forge ventilation fans and vent pipes.Cargo deck aft of Officer’s Quarters are 6-12’ 6" x 16’ 6" watertight cargo hatches.Generator and boiler ventilation, shore power cable and connection station.Gangway, dive hose reels, and fire station.The entire cargo deck has railings in place for the crew's safety, with port and starboard ramps, port, starboard, and aft ladder access to the main deck below.*Main Deck - Interior Bow  The galley, crews serving & messing, crews mess, laundry, scullery, dry foods storage and heads with showers are all located in the bow of the main deck.  This area also contains an emergency egress watertight hatch, access to the anchor winch motor, anchor chain locker, and stairways to below deck where the 4 walk-in stainless steel refrigerators/freezers, additional dry food storage, and freshwater pump areas are located.  There are 4-18 & 4-dog portholes and 1-26" x 66" single lever exterior watertight door in this area for natural lighting, ventilation, and entry. Galley & Food Serving Equipment: 2-Legion Utensils Steam Jacket Kettles, 1-LTWT-10 & 20 with faucet and drains.1-Hobart Electric Double Convection Oven, model B, 480 volt, 22 kW, 3-ph.1-MG Equip. New England 1-3/8" windless capstan/anchor winch, model X2275, 15-hp, 440 volt, 3-ph with 1500# anchor on the bow and a 2000# anchor on the stern.The bow and stern have anchor cradles for anchor stowage and quick deployment.The entire exterior main deck has railings in place for the crew's safety.There are port and starboard ramps to the main deck bow (main deck bow is 19-feet above the waterline.There are port, starboard, and aft ladders for access to the cargo deck above.The walkway on the starboard and port allow access to all cargo/equipment doors, exterior watertight doors, emergency hatches, line chocks and bits, and access covers and sounding tubes to all void areas, fuels tanks, and ballast tanks below deck.The stern has access to the boiler room, pump rooms, and anchor locker below deck.Barge Hull from the Bow to the Stern  The main hull has the anchor chain locker in the bow followed by compartments with 4 walk-in stainless steel refrigerators/freezers, and additional dry food storage.  The 2-crew quarters compartments, and freshwater pump areas are next followed by the 6-cargo holds.  Part of the forward starboard cargo hold has been converted to crews lounge/conference room and master divers office.  1-cargo hold is used as a welding shop with 2-welders, welding workbench with overhead exhaust ventilation, pipe-vice, storage lockers, and air-conditioning.  Another cargo hold contains 7 wall mounted high-pressure air flasks with related piping and valves.  Behind the stern cargo holds are 3-side by side compartments accessible from inside and out that contain the steam boiler, fire pumps, and generator cooling pumps.  The last compartment accessible only from the outside is the stern anchor chain and paint locker.Bow anchor chain locker.Freshwater pump area, dry food storage compartments with 4 Norlake walk-in refrigerators/freezers, 2-42" x 76" and 2-52" x 66" with Bohn condensers and ozone guard stainless steel panels.2-crew quarters compartment and heads, 1-crew compartment with 44 bunks and head with 4 showers, 4 toilets, 2 urinals, 3 sinks, and slop sink, 1-crew compartment with 39 bunks and head with 3 showers, 3 toilets, 2 sinks.Sewage compartment with tank, pumps, and sink.6-cargo holds with 2000 ton capacity, 1-cargo hold is used as a welding shop with 1-Lincoln AC/DC, IDEALARK, 300 amp welder, 1-Miller, GoldStar, 500 SS, 500 amp welder, work bench with overhead ventilation, pipe-vice, and storage lockers.  1-cargo hold has 7 wall mounted High Start Technologies 3000 psi high-pressure air flasks with related piping and valves (Flasks hydrostat tested to 5000 psi in 1992).Boiler Room and 2-ajoining compartments - York-Shipley Inc.
