EXCELLENT ORIGINAL & UNRESTORED Condition!  Manufactured by HENRY HOOKER & Co.  -  Always Stored INSIDE! The Rockaway Carriage was the predecessor to the modern day Limousine. This one was built by one of North America's most renowned carriage builders, HENRY HOOKER & Co. It is RARE to find one of these historic Rockaway carriages; but to find one in this exceptional condition, and with original oak wood....almost impossible!  A cheaper replacement carriage would cost over $10,000.00 today. This one is very well built with EXPERT CRAFTMANSHIP of a bygone era ---- it is irreplaceable! It still has ALL the ORIGINAL 'Pull Up' Glass Windows on the two side door windows, and the front window. The original roll-up Side Curtains (on the two back-side windows) are in excellent condition. The back window curtain is also in excellent condition, and has a small glass window in it. This carriage includes 3 of the 4 Original BRASS HUB Caps; one bearing the inscription: "Henry Hooker & Co., New Haven, Conn." A BEAUTIFUL & SPECTACULAR 'Original' Piece of HISTORY. The wood finish is in EXCELLENT condition with only a couple very minor areas of wear to the finish. The SEATS are in EXCELLENT 'original' condition except for a couple very small holes (where the buttons have pulled loose) in the rear of the back seat. The Front Seat looks EXCELLENT as does the material lining the inside of the doors of the carriage. The hubs and under carriage are also in EXCELLENT condition. The inside wood is very good, and the flooring material on the wood is original and worn, but still intact! Some of the Fringe Tassels that line the top-front of the roof are missing, but could be easily replaced. The Material on the FENDERS & FRONT 'DASH' PANEL will need replacement. This Carriage is in READY-To-USE Condition - just hook it up & go!   An EXCELLENT INVESTMENT, or add it to your Collection! Comes with a matching Shaft Pole for TWO HORSES.
